  5. Here on the disk is a few programs that I have come across that work nicely
  6. with the ST EMULATOR.  You will find these programs under 'ATARIPRG' which
  7. must be copied to an ATARI ST BOOT DISK.  You can use Dos2Dos(on this disk)
  8. or anything you want that will copy ST/IBM files.

  10. ABOUT THE CONVERSION

  12.    Well I converted this nifty program by looking at an English version of
  13. the TOS and translating it to the german version of the Emulator.  Since
  14. word sizes are different, you will notice some strange charaters on some
  15. requestors(I use this term very lightly when talking about ST crap).  Some
  16. of the requestors may look wierd, but at least you can read it!  I hope I
  17. got all of the German out of the program, however, I did leave both files
  18. uncrunched so if you have one pop up, you can use FILEMASTER(also on the
  19. disk) to hunt it down and convert it!

  21. KEYBOARD AND PAL STUFF

  23.    I changed the keyboard on both files so that the Y key is really the Y
  24. key and the Z key is really the Z key!  After borrowing a cheezy ST 'expert'
  25. book(again-term is used lightly) I found out that TOS can't figure out on
  26. its own which mode(NTSC/PAL) its in(Where Kickstart checks Agnus) so after
  27. the TOS(Toy Operating System) version number and date, Atari puts in
  28. 003(pal) or 000(NTSC) so the system knows.....yawn.  So I have to programs
  29. that have each.  I noticed some programs would not work on the pal one(IBM
  30. emmy for example says 'Sorry, this program will not run on a European TOS).
